The Numerology album in the Internet Archive includes some terrific songs…and some rather odd bits as well. While I cannot recommend every song on this list, Happy Elf is always worth a listen. (see his previous featured work on this site) Check out this hip, bouncy track and, if you like it, look up his other work.
Ricardo vs. Jay: Archive (Jambi’s Dubbed Out Remix)
For my sister Sarah’s birthday, I present an honorary TD Tune. This is a remix of Archive by Ricardo vs. Jay on the netlabel textone. It has a popping, deep bass and echoing whoops and bleeps that I really think sound great through headphones.

For Halloween
This cool, moody megamix is full of spooky metal and grim voices of doom. Lot’s of fun to play in the background of a party!
Spirit Elevating Brains: Joy is Not in the Brain
Wow, do I love this one!
According to the online liner notes, Spirit Elevating Brains (aka SEB) is a one-man-show named Sebastian Alvarez. Born in Peru, SEB now lives in Chicago where he is studying for a performing arts degree. He has also spent time in Brazil and other parts of the USA, all of which seems to have given his inspiration for creating brilliant, lively music. No words in this one, but still plenty to get you up off your seat.
The album is called “Raw adventures of the strident, harsh and sweet returnee” by the way. You can visit the album’s Internet Archive home to hear more tracks or learn more about the netlabel test tube on that site as well.

The Smittens: Gin and Platonic
This rough-around-the-edges treat from The Smittens sounds like five different bands whose names are right on the tip of my tongue…I wish I could remember who! This song evokes memories that may not be mine. I love it!
cdk: Empty Dragon
From the ccmixter.org site: “cdk is a canadian producer, got any requests?”
Qeshi: Seijin o asobe
From Qeshi at www.archive.org: “None other than the don Mortimer Twang himself alerted us to a whole album of Swedish artist Qeshi’s music floating out there in the ether, and when we asked the artist himself nicely if we could release it on Monotonik, he kindly assented. But who’s Qeshi? Currently studying in Japan, you may have heard of him from his two tracks that were featured on one of Lee ‘Metamatics’ Norris’ ‘Cottage Industries’ compilations on the excellent Neo-Ouija label, as well as his Flash videos that seems to be rather popular over at NewGrounds, and this album only extends his complex, gorgeous idm sound even further. “
Vincent Knobil: Trust
Vincent Knobil makes fun, quirky songs about unusual characters. This song is, according to the man himself, the closest thing to a real pop song he has yet produced. Enjoy!
Drei Farben House: Signature Design
Corpid calls this track “elegant and shimmering house music, smooth and fluent, like a tailored costume by Chloé.” It is indeed smooth (but a bit bouncy) and very easy-on-the-ears. Enjoy this track and, if you like it, check out other Drei Farben House tracks in the Internet Archive.
