The Numerology album in the Internet Archive includes some terrific songs…and some rather odd bits as well. While I cannot recommend every song on this list, Happy Elf is always worth a listen. Spirit Elevating Brains: Joy is Not in the Brain
Wow, do I love this one!
According to the online liner notes, Spirit Elevating Brains (aka SEB) is a one-man-show named Sebastian Alvarez. Born in Peru, SEB now lives in Chicago where he is studying for a performing arts degree. He has also spent time in Brazil and other parts of the USA, all of which seems to have given his inspiration for creating brilliant, lively music. No words in this one, but still plenty to get you up off your seat.
The album is called “Raw adventures of the strident, harsh and sweet returnee” by the way. You can visit the album’s Internet Archive home to hear more tracks or learn more about the netlabel test tube on that site as well.

The Smittens: Gin and Platonic
This rough-around-the-edges treat from The Smittens sounds like five different bands whose names are right on the tip of my tongue…I wish I could remember who! This song evokes memories that may not be mine. I love it!
Vincent Knobil: Trust
Vincent Knobil makes fun, quirky songs about unusual characters. This song is, according to the man himself, the closest thing to a real pop song he has yet produced. Enjoy!
Drei Farben House: Signature Design
Corpid calls this track “elegant and shimmering house music, smooth and fluent, like a tailored costume by Chloé.” It is indeed smooth (but a bit bouncy) and very easy-on-the-ears. Enjoy this track and, if you like it, check out other Drei Farben House tracks in the Internet Archive.
Martinibomb: Fab Cushion
Cool little mix by Martinibomb called Fab Cushion. It has monkey hoots and screeches in it, which I think are just awesome!
Bobby Baby: Some Place New
I like the rhythm of Bobby Baby’s Some Place New. It makes me wish I was on my bike pedaling along through the countryside. (There is a video on her website, by the way. It happens to be about driving in a car, so maybe I didn’t exactly make up the biking thing.)
